Matthew Wood is Associate Professor of Low Brass at Auburn University. His duties include maintaining the trombone, euphonium, and tuba studios as well as conducting the trombone choir and tuba/euphonium ensemble. Dr. Wood received a BM (Summa Cum Laude) and MM from the University of Missouri and a DMA from the University of Texas.
Dr. Wood maintains an active schedule as a recitalist and clinician. Most recently he has performed at Texas A&M University and Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi. His transcriptions and arrangements are published by Claude T. Smith Publications.
His principal teachers are Dr. Nathaniel Brickens, Professor of Trombone at the University of Texas and Timothy Myers, Principal Trombone, St. Louis Symphony.
